AI chatbot software and custom solutions

Consider standard software and project services separately

A ready-made chatbot platform can bring many functions and still require setup work. Ask about the scope that is already available in your environment: adding content, managing users, checking answers and, where needed, handing over to a person. Have this process shown with an example of your own.

A custom solution can build on existing platforms or on components of its own. Clarify which components the provider delivers, which it adapts and which another manufacturer operates. Licences, setup, new development and support should be individually identifiable in the offer.

Compare using a specific use case

Even with a versatile platform, begin with a limited task. For a small business, this can be answering recurring customer questions. An industrial company may need a search in approved service documents. What matters is whether the solution handles your questions with the right sources and passes unclear cases to the responsible person.

If customers and employees are to use the same application, check both points of access separately. Public information and internal knowledge need different approvals. A document import does not yet prove suitable rights management or the ongoing updating of all sources.

Plan rollout and operation for your team

Name who approves content, investigates wrong answers and takes on changes. If the company has no IT team of its own, ask about setup, training and ongoing support. For confidential or regulated applications, the responsible departments should review data paths, access and required evidence together.

Also have it recorded how a change of provider would be possible: which content, settings and documentation can you take with you? Who maintains adapted parts after an update? A low entry price does not answer these questions.

What this compilation means

This area brings together providers with several described fields of use as well as other specific chatbot offers. The assignment serves as an overview. It states neither that every company manufactures a platform of its own nor that it undertakes custom development. The stated provider role and the description of the respective offer are what count.

When searching for a particular task, the same providers can also appear in other selections. The full profile is located in one place only. The subject-based and regional overviews link to it.
