AP Prüfservice customer project

Connect inspection jobs from the office to the field.

For AP Prüfservice, T-NEX developed a platform for planning, mobile data capture and reporting. Office and field teams work on the same job. JTL-Wawi stays connected to the workflow through an import.

The task: connect office planning with on-site capture

T-NEX developed an order platform for AP Prüfservice that connects scheduling and field teams through the same record. An order contains appointments, line items, documents, checklists and completion. The existing JTL-Wawi ERP system remains connected through an import.

The technical challenge was also a handover challenge: office staff need to plan visits while technicians record required information on site. The record should not fragment into separate information states as it passes between those roles.

From the project

One record with different working views

Office staff see appointments in a weekly grid and orders in a board or list. Tabs within the order provide line items, files, inspection points and activity. Teams and permissions limit visible work according to the intended role.

Recurring appointment series and individual exceptions support repeat visits. Mobile capture adds structured site surveys, photos and checklists. A section marked not applicable requires a reason and remains traceable.

From the project

Offline use as part of the mobile workflow

The mobile application stores data locally and reconciles it when connectivity returns. The development therefore also addresses locations with unreliable connectivity. The interface is oriented towards work on the move and the order information needed there.

This part of the reference demonstrates the connection between interface and synchronisation. Displaying a form alone would not have fulfilled the task; recorded information also needs to return to the shared record.

From the project

Build the report and approval from work contributions

The application connects work sessions with report sheets. Individual contributions can be combined by day and employee during completion. Line items and the customer signature are maintained in the same completion context.

Approval belongs to the order lead. The completion process checks ticket status and unaccounted working time before closing the record. The project therefore covers both data capture and the handover to the person responsible for completion.

From the project

Extend the existing ERP system selectively

The integration imports orders from JTL-Wawi using FTP and XML. A status guard prevents subsequent imports from overwriting an order already in progress. The connection extends the ERP system with operational planning and mobile processing.

The development project became the T-NEX product for inspection service providers. It is configured with the trades, inspection forms and approvals each business needs.

Questions about the solution

What did T-NEX deliver in this project?

The order platform connects planning, roles, mobile capture, documentation and completion. It also includes the import of orders from JTL-Wawi. The reference explains this development work through its business workflows.

Can other inspection service businesses use the application?

T-NEX offers the inspection service software as a product. Catalogues, roles, templates and integrations are configured for the business. The product page describes the possible introduction scope in greater detail.
